World Cancer Leaders' Summit
2017 World Cancer Leaders' Summit
‘Cities driving change'
13-14 November | Mexico City, Mexico
The 2017 World Cancer Leaders' Summit has been themed 'Cities driving change', and builds on the achievements of the 2016 Summit in Paris which successfully called on 300 leaders and the global cancer community to work together to support the adoption of a cancer resolution by Member States at the 2017 World Health Assembly.
This year's Summit will extend its call to action to city leaders, focussing on the key measures and building blocks that will help accelerate the implementation of quality cancer services in major conurbations, meet the needs of the local citizens, and ultimately save more lives.
The event will take place on 13-14 November in Mexico City, and is hosted by the National Cancer Institute of Mexico (INCAn).
An exciting agenda will engage Heads of States and Health Ministers from the region, First Ladies, royalty working in cancer, CEOs of cancer societies and federations, UN agencies and private sector executives, city leaders and other key players through inspiring keynote addresses, city leaders and ministerial panel discussions, interactive round tables as well as interviews featuring successful city initiatives.
The Summit is by invitation only and its attendance is mainly open to UICC Members and partners among the global health and cancer leadership community.
