The 2016 World Cancer Congress which was held from 31 October to 3 November in Paris concluded on a strong positive note.

We are pleased to share the preliminary figures, showing the calibre and the variety of participants and leaders who contributed to the huge success of the Paris Congress.

  • 144 interactive sessions presented by 500 speakers (120 sessions and 350 speakers in 2014)
  • 688 abstracts presented

An active online community raising the event's visibility

  • 2,953 people took part in the Twitter conversation (2,000 in 2014)

The World Cancer Congress won the award of 'Best Conference Development' at the 2016 International & European Associations Awards held in Berlin on 11 April 2016.
