The World Cancer Congress brings together the world's leaders in the fight to control cancer.
The World Cancer Congress 2008 will meet in Geneva, Switzerland, from 27-31 August 2008.
The congress will be a truly global event, with participants from over 120 countries representing all major cancer organizations as well as key players from industry.
A diverse programme will feature 400 leading speakers who will present cutting-edge topics in 130 sessions, as well as 1200 poster and 5 satellite sessions.
The call for abstracts drew almost 1,800 submissions from 112 countries, setting a record for both the quantity and quality of submitted and accepted abstracts.
CME points will be available for both doctors (up to 21 points) and nurses (application in process). Additionally, the Congress will offer networking opportunities with professionals from all sectors of the fight against cancer.
Congress participants will also receive free admission to "Reel Lives: the Cancer Chronicles", the first UICC international cancer film festival.
