Evidence of support for improved cervical cancer prevention in developing countries

A comprehensive electronic dossier has been compiled by Cervical Cancer Action, the International Union Against Cancer, and PATH. It may be freely shared for educational and non-commercial purposes.

The letters, video messages, editorials, and declarations in this dossier express support for improved cervical cancer prevention-screening and vaccination-for women throughout the developing world.

In addition to the documents, the dossier includes the names of over 1,200 individuals, representing nearly 700 organizations, who signed the online Global Call to Stop Cervical Cancer in 2007 and 2008.

Supporting improved cervical cancer prevention worldwide

UICC promotes the participation of its members, partners and civil society groups in national, regional and global efforts to give cervical cancer prevention and control a high priority on governments’ health, education and financing agendas.

UICC members, influential partners and colleagues from the international cervical cancer control community prepared letters in support of improved cervical cancer prevention worldwide. These letters have been compiled in a dossier – a powerful support when making the case with Governments or donors for cervical cancer prevention interventions. These letters were further incorporated into a larger advocacy tool “Evidence of Support for Improved Cervical Cancer Prevention in Developing Countries".
