Breast and Cervical Cancer Outreach

An enlightenment campaign to raise awareness on breast and cervical cancer among young girls as way of fighting cancer as a life-threatening disease for this generation and generations yet unborn.

Cancer related deaths among young girls have been on the rise in the last couple of years due to lack of information and access to basis health care. According to W.H.O report in 2010 cervical cancer kills one woman in every two minutes! This situation is unacceptable! We are losing younger people to cancer on a daily basis; people that could have being safe supposing they have access into timely information.

In the light of this development, Youth Vision Alliance Network (YVAN) will be holding an enlightenment campaign to sensitize young girls about the preventive measures against breast and cervical cancer to celebrate the World Cancer Day 2012.
