If there is one aspect that will need more numbers that is Cancer volunteers and care givers. The Indian institute of head and Neck Oncology is pleased to announce a one day certificate course on how to be a cancer volunteer. A carefully structured program is in place, that will teach the participants what are the various treatments on cancer, what are there side effects, and how to look after these issues at home. Special focus will be on terminally ill cancer patients and support system that is required to destress the care givers. Preference will be given to persons already working in health care related activity. But otherds who wish to enroll, and be proud to be a cancer volunteer are welcome too.
