The Bahrain Cancer society has planned for public awareness campaign to coincide with the world cancer day. The campaigne activities will consist of the following:
 1.     Prostate Screening : It will be around the importance of Screening & early detection of Prostate Cancer. It will be from 23 – 31st. January 2011
2.     In line with the UICC theme “CANCER CAN BE  PREVENTED”, on 4th of February, we will initiate our full scale Media advertisement covering  Bill boards, ads in the Newspaper , Radio and  TV. This will continue till the end of 2011.
 3.    Starting on 20th Feb – 5th. March, we will emphasize the importance of Screening & early detection of colon Cancer by the Display of the Colon model ( COCO ) in one of the most crowded shopping mall.
4.     At the same time there will be Breast Screening awareness campaign, which is taking place at 3 different centers, for all Female residents of Bahrain above 40years  of age.
5.     The above will be followed by organizing a scientific conference on "UPDATES OF CANCER MANAGEMENT" which will be held on 18 - 19th March 2011.
