Dr. Naeem Ahmed Laghari, Director NIMRA in his welcome address highlighted the topic “Cancer can be prevented” and focused how the risk of developing cancer can significantly be reduced through simple measures by changing life style and about 30% of cancer can be prevented through screening, and healthy life style. Our aim is to help you to understand how you take steps to prevent cancer and live a healthy long life.

The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Mr. Ahmed Bux Narejo, was the chief Guest on this occasion said that this awareness walk is a right way to disseminate information through print and electronic media to the general public and also emphasized to arrange this type of walk in future for public awareness and appreciates the efforts of NIMRA for arranging this walk and donated Rs. 50,000/- (Fifty Thousand only) from his own pocket for the Cancer Patients Welfare Society (CPWS) NIMRA, Jamshoro.

In the concluding remarks Director NIMRA, offered the services of Doctors and Para Medical staff, to deliver lectures and screening Mammography at Basic Health units, Rural Health Centers / District Health Centers about prevention and early detection of Cancer.
