American Institute for Cancer Research awareness raising activities

American Institute for Cancer Research says cancer rates set to rise 55%

AICR is delighted to be raising awareness of cancer prevention and control to mark World Cancer Day 2012.

The American Institute for Cancer Research is delighted to be supporting UICC's World Cancer Day in several ways, including:

- Highlighting the importance of World Cancer Day on our website - www.aicr.org

- Sending out a press release about the projected rise in US cancer cases by 2030. AICR is announcing the figures to mark World Cancer Day on February 4 and draw attention to the rising burden of cancer. AICR is also taking the opportunity to highlight its estimate that about one-third of the most common cancers could be prevented through eating a healthy diet, being physically active and keeping off excess weight.
