CAN25BY25 Network

In the lead up to the 2011 UN High Level Meeting on Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs), UICC's advocacy team worked with a small group of UICC members to advocate for a strong outcome for the cancer community.  Known as the CAN25by25 network, this group played a critical role in positioning cancer and other NCDs as a global health and development issue, and in securing cancer-specific commitments from governments around the world in the UN Political Declaration on NCDs that was adopted at the Meeting.

CAN25by25 has now expanded to include over 40 UICC members. By joining the CAN25by25 network, you will receive regular information updates on global advocacy developments, programmes, training opportunities, and advocacy resources that can support your work at national level.  You will also have a unique opportunity to help strengthen our global advocacy efforts in three key areas:

COMMUNICATIONS: Help us disseminate and promote key cancer and NCD messages 

- EVIDENCE-BASED ADVOCACY: Share data, and examples of good practices in cancer prevention and control from your country

- TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: Provide input into UICC position papers, factsheets, and contrib
